SEASON DAILY EXCURSIONS FROM ISTRIA

N.P.  PLITVICE
Whole day      

The excursion starts in the morning with approx. 4 hours time transfer to the National Park. The area of Plitvice Lakes, declared a National Park in 1949, is a valley situated between high forested mountains in which lies, one bellow another, a string of 16 beautiful lakes and tarns of crystal blue-green colour. Due to their unique evolution and beauty, in 1979 the Plitvice Lakes were entered in the UNESCO World Heritage List. By walking, riding with the tourist train and taking the vassel across the lake Kozjak you will encounter, followed by the guide, the exceptional beauty of the lakes and waterfalls, rich plant and animal life, contrasting colours, forests and the pure mountain air. The visit of the National park is approx. 3 and a half hours long. After the sightseeing a brake of 1 hour is made in the restaurant area for enjoying the optional lunch or relaxing. The return time is at evening hours.

VENICE
Whole day

The boat ride with the fast boat to Venice is approx. 2 hours and 30 min long. The boat is air-conditioned and very comfortly equipped. Reaching Venice we will visit the city and its monuments followed by a tourist guide and we will visit the world famous glass manufacture "Murano" where we will be demonstrated how the glass is worked. The remaining time is reserved for individual programs (visits to numerous palaces and Museums) until the boat come back time. Some extras can be arranged on charge: lunch, ride through the Canal grande with taxi boats or gondolas.

Valid identification documents are obbligatory for this excursion as its destination is in Italy.

WINE TASTING
Half day

This excursion starts with the sightseeing of Vodnjan. Vodnjan and its surroundings are an important agricultural area, famous for quality wines and olive-oil. The old "torc" in Vodnjan reminds of ancient ways of olive-processing. Of great importance is the church of St. Blaise, patron of Vodnjan (which receives a congregation of 5,000), which houses the outstanding, world-famous collection of reliquaries with five mummified bodies of saints, as well as a collection of paintings. The visit of Sveti Vinčenat follows. Sveti Vincenat (St. Vincent) is especially attractive because of its square dominated by the remains of a quadrangular castle with corner towers, which used to be a fortification structure of the Venetian Republic.
On the area of the untouched nature in the middle of the woods nearby Galižana Valdragon, the very first ostrich breeding center, is situated. Did you know that Ostriches are the second fastest running animal - achieveing a speed of up to 64 km per hour and do not hide their heads in sand? At Radeki we will attend the wine tasting at the Demian cellar. Local spirits, red and white wine with the snack will be tasted. Afterwards, prior the departure you can freely purchase those products at the promotional prices.

Whole day excursion

Whole day excurision in the waters of the national park of Brijuni islands.Departure from Pula's harbour in the morning hours.Panoramic tour along the Brijuni islands. Anchoring in the gulf of Barbariga. Relax time for sport activities, swimming and enjoying the sun. Lunch on boat at 14:30. After the lunch free time till departure (17:00). Return time to Pula's harbour at 17:30.

N.P. BRIJUNI
Half day

The Brijuni Islands are one of the most beautiful National Parks and one of the most visited attractions of Croatia. Reaching Fažana by coach we will take the boat to the biggestIsland of the Brijuni archipelag, Big Brijun, followed by a tourist guide we are begining the visit with the panorama train (Safari park, Byzant Castrum, from the II.ct.b.c., the remainings of the Roman villa in the Verige bay from the I.ct.a.c.), visting the exibition "Tito on Brijuni", the visit of the conserved animals exibition, St. Germains church from the XV. Century. The remaining time can be spent in beautiful landscapes, taking a restaurant refreshement or choosing and buying something from the suvenir offer.

LIM FJORD -ROVINJ
Whole day by boat

The whole day boat trip along the western istrian coast. We will visit Rovinj, old town know for it's very close streets and old palaces built in venecian stile and the Red Island in front of Rovinj. Lim fjord is the visit place for lovers of untouched nature. Swimming in Barbariga is planned on the come back way. Return at 18.30.

POSTOJNA LIPICA
Whole day

At the very outskirts of the Istrian peninsula stretches a country called Crass. It is a land of rare beauty; secret underground waters and caves, specifically climate and vegetation. And right there in a picturesque village of Lipica for more than 400 years beautiful, white, fully bred horses have been bred. For their elegance and graceful movements they are called "the four legged aristocrats". A local guide will take the clients for a guided tour of stables pointing out differentmethods of stages of breeding and training of these noble animals. A special feature and experience is a show-program featuring the star lipizaner studs performing some of the most difficult steps and figures they have learned in their training. Another curiosity of the crass region is its caves. The biggest and the worldwide known are Postojna Caves spreading their monument beauty for more than 20 kilometers of underground passages and caves. Their beauties have been visited and admired by more than 20 million visitors in the past 150 years and it is one of the most visited places in Slovenia.
Sightseeing tour includes a ride on electrical train-taking visitors deep into the world of stalactites and stalagmites.
Visitors will visit in about one and a half hour the most beautiful and spacious caves.

We suggest taking warm clothes and solid shoes for the visit of Caves.
